#1 For the Grill & Chill Father
This is the perfect gift for dad if this Father’s Day includes some bbq on the table! This can easily be done at home with a little paint, tools, and creativity! First purchase the wooden board at any local craft store or even create it yourself, then add the catchy saying at the top of the board by painting it on or using stencils of your choice. Finish off by adding small hooks or nails that can hold up dad’s tools for the ultimate grill and chill session!

As many are getting closer to earning that diploma they have been working towards, whether it be their high school or college degree, it is one of the greatest achievements one can celebrate because it means you are moving on to a new chapter in your life!

Graduation being such a special occasion, most memories are remembered for years to come through photos! Which is why we want to give you some easy ideas to make your photo opportunities entertaining and unique at your graduation AND the after party!
Idea #1 | DIY Photo Booth Frame

The famous “photo frame” you have probably seen all over social media during this time of the year! Personally, we love this idea because it serves a purpose at your graduation and afterwards at the party as a photo booth prop. Here are the links to a few options that we think you would love! We recommend this one for a flashy, glitter loving graduate, that can be used with the props included (2019 Glitter Graduation Photo Props and Frame) and this one for a formal look that can be customized with the graduates’ name (2019 Customizable Formal Graduation Photo Frame)!

If you are feeling crafty, it is very easy to simply buy the tools you need at your local arts and craft store to create one with a personal touch!

Idea #2 | Letter Board

Many have seen letter boards used in home decor, weddings, baby announcements, and we think you can even use them as the modern “poster” to write a meaningful message for photo opportunities! As an example, written below is a quote from a famous comedy show known as The Office. You can add designs by super gluing add ons to the frame of the board, or anything that describes the personality and interests of the grad would work!

We have three options, the first is the classic (Black Squared Letter Board) that is often used for decor. The second option is a (White Geometric Letter Board) for that simple, yet sophisticated look that would pair great with any outfit. The third option is a geometric shape for the grad that loves to be different and stand out (Black Star Letter Board)!
Idea #3 | Customized Graduation Banner

Personally, I have made one of these in the past, and can honestly say they are a great investment! Just like a diploma, this one lasts for a lifetime and can be easily stored without damaging it, compared to the way paper posters tend to get damaged overtime in storage. Using this link (DIY Graduation Poster) you can create a customized one for less than $20 dollars and easily skip shipping by simply picking it up at your local store! What better way to show your support in a crowd of proud family and friends?

Not only that, but you can use it as a photo prop at the after party!

We all love ideas that serve more than one purpose! We hope these help you create memorable moments at your graduation or that of a loved one.

how to throw a last minute cinco de mayo party

Cinco de Mayo is in 2 days and you don’t have any plans yet? We’ve got you covered! In this blog, we’re going to share a few tips that will make the party all that your guests can taco about. All of these supplies can be picked up at two places: Party City and Smart and Final!
Decor
The key to decorating for a Cinco de Mayo party is bright colors! Select a bright color palette and try to stick to it. Some trending colors are pink, orange, purple, and green. You can either choose bright or dark shades of these colors. Either would be great, just stick with the same shades. Within this color palette, some items that will tie your party together are fans, pom poms, tassels, streamers, and piñatas. Placing these in various places will give a strong Cinco de Mayo impression. One simple way to build a centerpiece is by laying down a mexican blanket or runner down the middle of the table and placing a cactus and other succulents on top of it.

Food
Food can be simple for this party! Chips and salsa/guacamole is all you really need for appetizers. They will give your guests something to munch on, while still leaving room for the main meal. Tacos, beans, and rice will make a great dinner. If you want to offer more options for your guests, think about having a taco bar with different types of meats, tortillas, and other toppings like sour cream, lettuce, onions, cilantro, chipotle sauce, pice de gallo, etc.

Drinks
Providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for your guests will ensure that all attendants will find something to drink! If someone is the designated driver, you want to have something tasty for them that is not alcoholic. Two great options for this are Horchata or Agua Fresca. These will make your guests feel included in the party. For your guests that can drink, offer them a variety of drinks. We would suggest 3 different options like a Corona with lime, Sangria, and a Margarita. Offering a beer, wine, and cocktail allows your guests options to drink what they like.

Favors
Party favors are fun to gift your guests, but can also be used as decor. We like the idea of a
sombrero or a sombrero headband. This is a favor within the theme that they can use at the party. Miniature Tequila Shots are also are gift they can use at the party. Include a miniature bottle of tequila, a small pack of salt, and a slice of lime. Another fun gift is a little bag of Hot Tamales. It is within the theme and your guests can eat them at the party or at home.

Cinco de Mayo is one of our favorite holidays! Between the fun decorations, food, and drinks, there can be so much excitement at these parties. We hope you have a great and safe Cinco de Mayo. Cheers!
