Often times, wedding details are a reflection of the bride and her preparation. Some grooms want to be involved and others prefer to stay out of the planning process. One thing that the groom will definitely be a part of is the bachelor party. While many grooms enjoy going to Vegas with their buddies, some prefer something much more low key. In this blog, we are going to share a few non-traditional bachelor party ideas!
Camping
It is no surprise that a nature lover would not want to go out on the town for their bachelor party. For the outdoorsy man, take him camping. You can sleep in a tent or directly under the stars. The awesome thing about camping is that there are so many activities that can be combined with camping. A few of these activities are hiking, off-roading, and shooting. For a more active bachelor party, hiking and off-roading are both adventurous activities.  Shooting can be equally exciting but just be sure it is done in a safe manner. Find a location where shooting is legal and be sure to have someone that is experienced with guns oversee this portion of the party.

Game Night
For someone who would much rather stay in for his party, a game/cigar night would be fitting. For the groom who loves video games, bring a few monitors and get several games up and going. If the groom likes board games, bring an assortment of strategy games.  A game of poker would be a traditional activity that many grooms would enjoy. One unique thing to have at a game night is a cigar bar. Offer a few different blends at the bar (mild, medium, rich/robust). Offer a few different sizes, such as a mini cigarillo. Make sure to include ashtrays and cigar cutters.
Backyard BBQ
If the groom likes to keep things low key, perhaps a backyard BBQ would be his preference. This will allow him to relax and enjoy time with his buddies. For food, grill hamburgers, hotdogs, or steaks and wash them down with a cold beer. It is smart to have a few games setup even if people may not play them. This gives guests options in case the conversation gets slow. Lawn games are great for this! Make sure to include corn hole, giant jenga, lawn darts, ladderball, croquet, etc.

Brewery Tour
A brewery tour is an educational and insightful activity for the groom and his groomsmen. Some cities offer a package that includes several different breweries. If the groom has a favorite beer, try touring just that brewery. One activity that some breweries are offering is axe throwing. This will be a way to add some excitement to the tour! Most local breweries will offer a tour and pair it with discounts on food and beverages or even an included beer tasting. If the groom does not prefer beer, try touring a meadery or whiskey tasting.

As a groomsman or best man, you play a unique part in your friend’s wedding. We hope that this blog post was helpful in the planning process for his bachelor party. Keep in mind that the primary goal is that the groom enjoys himself and feels honored!

Excellent post.

One thing I have noticed about certain sites is that, even though they have tons of content, the site looks great and the headlines are eye catching is that the material is simply filler. It’s downright unreadable. You can forget it 6 seconds after you read it. Not the case with your post though, really enjoyed it reading it and it held my attention all the way through! Keep it up.
